For those hours upon hours of reading or studying, the option of investing in a good book stand can be invaluable. A book stand supports proper posture and helps alleviate neck and back strain. Hands-free reading allows you to take notes with ease or eat a snack while reading. Book stands, regardless of using textbooks, cookbooks, even tablets are a wonderful support and convenience. I used a book stand pretty much every day for months and it definitely improved my comfort and overall concentration. There are many different types of book stands available, ranging from adjustable metal book stands to wooden styles, so I would imagine the options would appeal to many different people and their needs.
